I was in the Aviation Metalsmith shop, just forward of the hanger deck. I was involved with the liquid oxygen/nitrogen plants in that same area. My primary responsibility was keeping the liquid oxygen carts ready for servicing the aircraft.

I was assigned to the V-6 Division as the Supply Coordinator beginning the first day we (1960 PreCom Detail) boarded the ship prior to commissioning of the Kitty Hawk. I worked in the V-6 Division Office until July,1962 when I completed my active duty.
